12G-SDI BNC Cable 25ft

The BZBGEAR BG-CAB-12SDI25 is a 25ft 75-ohm shielded coaxial cable with BNC connectors. It is built for professional video workflows needing a dependable 12G-SDI link. Installers and broadcasters use it to connect cameras, switchers and recorders in studio or field environments.

12G-SDI distance and bandwidth limits

The cable supports 4K UHD signals at 60fps over its full 25ft length. The 12G-SDI standard permits transmission up to 70m, so this run stays well within the specification. The 3GHz sweep-tested construction and woven shield reject electromagnetic interference to maintain a clean, artifact-free image.

Installation notes and common issues

The BNC connectors lock with a quarter-turn bayonet for a secure fit that resists accidental disconnects. The 25ft length suits typical rack-to-camera or floor-to-booth routes without excess slack. The main failure points are crushed shielding from tight bends and damaged centre pins from forced mating, so route gently and align carefully.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 25 ft version or a different length for my 12G-SDI run?

The 25 ft length is well within the 70 m maximum distance specified for 12G-SDI signals, so it will carry 4K at 60 fps without signal loss.

What does the 12G-SDI rating actually deliver when the cable is connected to a camera and recorder?

It supports 4K UHD video at 60 fps over the full 25 ft, with 3 GHz sweep testing confirming bandwidth for pristine, artifact-free images.

How does the 75-ohm BNC interface limit the signal in practice?

The 75-ohm coaxial design with woven shielding rejects electromagnetic interference, enabling reliable 12G-SDI transmission up to 70 m without degradation.
