Versatile 1-Channel Encoder/Decoder

The BG-STREAM-DE is a 1-channel SDI and HDMI encoder, decoder, and recorder built for live production, streaming, and AV integration. It handles a single video source at up to 1080p60 and supports simultaneous recording to USB 3.0 storage. The unit suits broadcasters, houses of worship, and corporate AV teams needing a compact all-in-one appliance.

Straightforward Rack or Desktop Setup

Installation is simple: connect power, attach an HDMI 2.0 or SDI source, link the RJ45 port for network streaming, and plug a USB 3.0 drive for local recording. Control is managed via a USB keyboard and mouse through the web UI or front-panel buttons. A common issue is forgetting to format the USB storage as a compatible file system before the first recording session.

Check Source Resolution and Network Needs

Verify your camera or switcher outputs 1920x1080 at 50 or 60 fps; the device does not downscale higher resolutions automatically. Ensure your network infrastructure supports the required streaming protocol bandwidth for NDI, SRT, or RTMP workflows. Confirm analog audio embedding or de-embedding needs match the 3.5 mm input and output ports provided.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the BG-STREAM-DE is encoding correctly after connecting my 1080p60 source?

The front-panel LED indicators show real-time status for power, record, stream and source selection so you can verify operation at a glance.

What cables or accessories must I purchase separately to start recording to USB storage?

The box includes the unit, a 12V DC adapter and a user manual; you only need to add a USB 3.0 flash drive or SSD for local recording.

Should I choose the HDMI 2.0 or SDI input for a 1920×1080 60fps camera feed?

Both inputs accept 1920×1080 at 60fps; pick HDMI 2.0 for consumer cameras or SDI for professional gear with locking BNC connectors.
