1080P USB Conference Camera

The BZBGEAR BG-UC-MHD is a 1080P USB conference camera built around a high-quality HD CMOS sensor. It captures video at resolutions up to 1920×1080 at 30 or 25 frames per second. A 3.24mm lens provides an 80° wide-angle view with low distortion. The unit weighs 0.15kg and measures 102mm by 46mm by 30mm.

Suited for desktop video calls

This camera suits remote workers, students, or small teams needing a plug-and-play USB 2.0 device with a built-in omnidirectional microphone for clear audio pickup. It supports H.264/H.265, MJPEG, and YUV compression for smooth streaming. Buyers who need pan-tilt-zoom control, network streaming via IP, or resolutions beyond 1080P should look at other models.

Simple mounting on monitors.

Installation is straightforward: clip the camera onto an LCD screen, laptop lid, tabletop, or standard tripod thread. The USB 2.0 connection requires no driver download on most systems. Common issues include limited low-light performance from the small sensor and fixed focus that cannot track moving subjects across a large room.

Questions about this item

Does this camera need a separate power adapter or does it draw power from the USB 2.0 port?

The camera uses a USB 2.0 interface with plug-and-play function for power supply, so no separate power adapter is required.

Will the 80° field of view and 1080p@30fps output work on a laptop that only supports 720p webcams?

The camera outputs up to 1920×1080 at 30fps, but the actual resolution used depends on the host application and USB bandwidth; it will negotiate a supported format such as 1280×720 if 1080p is not available.

How can I confirm the built-in omnidirectional microphone is active and picking up sound after I plug the camera in?

Open your system sound settings or conferencing software, select the camera as the input device, and watch the input level meter while speaking; it should rise and fall with your voice.
