Kit includes two galvanized tie plates, four yellow zinc-plated U-bolts and eight zinc-plated nuts with lock washers for a 2" square axle
This kit supplies all hardware required to secure new leaf springs to a 2" square axle. It contains two galvanised tie plates, four yellow zinc-plated U-bolts, and eight zinc-plated nuts with lock washers. The components are designed for marine trailer applications where corrosion resistance is essential. Builders needing a different axle profile or a complete spring assembly should look elsewhere.
Galvanised tie plates and yellow zinc-plated U-bolts protect against saltwater exposure during normal use. Zinc-plated nuts and lock washers maintain clamping force without seizing. The kit adds minimal weight to the axle assembly and requires no external power or cooling. No thermal, noise or power-draw considerations apply to these passive mounting components.

Place each tie plate against the spring perch, thread the four U-bolts around the axle and through the plate holes, then secure with all eight nuts and lock washers; the step often missed is tightening the nuts in a cross-pattern to seat the lock washers evenly.
Inspect the U-bolts and nuts each season for white corrosion or thread damage; replace any fastener that shows heavy zinc loss or stripped threads to keep the spring-to-axle connection secure.
