A 10 ft heavy-duty 14 AWG extension cord adds reach between a C14 plug and C13 socket, rated 15A at 250V with UL and CSA certification
This ten-foot cord adds reach between a rack PDU, UPS or server and an existing C13 cord. A male IEC 60320 C14 plug connects to the power source while the female C13 socket accepts the equipment cord. Heavy-duty 14 AWG copper conductors with an SJT jacket are rated 15 amps at 250 volts for server and data-centre loads. UL Listed and CSA certified with a RoHS-compliant build.
An 18 AWG cord handles up to ten amps for light electronics while a 16 AWG cord reaches thirteen amps for desktop computers. The 14 AWG construction here supports fifteen amps, making the jump worthwhile when powering PDUs, switches or higher-draw rack gear. Builders needing twenty-amp capacity must select a twelve AWG cord instead.
The IEC 60320 C14 and C13 connectors are the common interface across servers, network switches and AV equipment. The black SJT jacket helps trace circuits and phases at a glance in dense racks. No adapter is required; the cord simply extends an existing C14-to-C13 run. Equipment requiring a different connector family or a higher amperage rating will need a separate solution.

The 14 AWG SJT jacket is rated for 105 °C and 300 V, so leave enough space for the cable bend radius and airflow around the 15 A / 250 V conductors.
Fully seat both IEC 60320 connectors until they click; a loose C14 or C13 contact can cause heating under 15 A load.
Inspect the jacket and connectors at each maintenance cycle; replace if the black SJT sheath shows cracking, discoloration from 105 °C exposure, or if the C14/C13 pins are loose.
