15 ft Cat5e patch cable with non-booted RJ45 plugs for dense patch panels, tested to 350 MHz for Gigabit Ethernet
This 15-foot Cat5e patch cable provides a wired Gigabit Ethernet connection for structured cabling, data centers, server rooms and offices. It uses 24 AWG bare copper conductors in four twisted pairs terminated with RJ45 plugs featuring 50-micron gold-plated contacts. The non-booted plug design is built for high-density patch panels and keystone jacks where space is tight. It connects routers, switches, PCs and PoE devices.
The Cat5e standard is rated for 100 MHz bandwidth, though this cable is tested to 350 MHz. It supports Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) up to the standard channel limit of 100 metres. It does not support 10 Gigabit Ethernet over the full 100-metre distance. For 10 Gbps links, a higher category such as Cat6a rated to 500 MHz is required.
The non-booted RJ45 plug is the deciding feature: it seats cleanly in tightly packed patch panels and keystone jacks where a molded boot would not fit or would block adjacent ports. This design also improves airflow and simplifies cable management in high-density racks. If your installation has generous port spacing or you prefer the strain relief of a booted connector, a standard booted cable would be more suitable.

Choose the 15 ft yellow version when the run between patch panel and device is about that distance and you want the colour for quick visual identification; other C5102 lengths and colours use the same 24 AWG bare copper, 350 MHz tested Cat5e construction.
The 350 MHz test headroom above the Cat5e 100 MHz baseline gives extra margin for Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) signal integrity, reducing errors on longer or densely bundled 15 ft runs.
The non-booted 8P8C plug with 50-micron gold contacts fits tightly spaced patch panels and keystone jacks without snagging, improves airflow and works with routers, switches, PCs and PoE devices.
