Cable Leader 3ft Cat6a Ethernet Cable

The Cable Leader 3ft Cat6a Ethernet Cable is a high-speed LAN patch cable designed for gamers, home-office users and anyone who needs a reliable 10 Gigabit wired link. It connects a PS5, Xbox, gaming PC, router, modem, switch, NAS or smart TV directly to your network without relying on Wi-Fi. The 3ft length keeps desk and console setups tidy while delivering full Cat6a performance.

24AWG bare copper UTP with gold-plated RJ45

Each cable uses 24AWG stranded bare copper conductors arranged in four twisted pairs around a cross-spline core measuring 6.9mm outer diameter to reduce crosstalk. Connectors are 8P8C RJ45 with 50-micron gold-plated contacts and snagless moulded PVC boots that protect the locking clip and resist tangling during routing. The unshielded construction is RoHS compliant and UL & ETL Verified for safety and quality assurance.

Drop-in upgrade from Cat6 or Cat5e

The cable supports 10GBASE-T up to 100 metres at 500MHz on the Cat6a standard and is fully backward compatible with Cat6 and Cat5e, so it works with existing routers, switches and patch panels without equipment changes. It is ideal when you want lower latency and fewer dropped packets than Wi-Fi for gaming, streaming or large file transfers. Buyers who need longer runs, shielded cable for noisy environments or lengths beyond the available range should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What speed does the Cat6a cable actually deliver in practice?

The Cat6a standard caps at 10 Gbit/s over 100 m at 500 MHz, so this 3 ft patch cable will carry the full 10 Gbit/s link your router or console negotiates.

Will the 6.9 mm diameter and snagless boot fit through my desk grommet and patch panel?

The 6.9 mm outer diameter and low-profile snagless boot pass standard desk grommets and 8P8C patch-panel ports without catching the locking clip.

Do I need to strip or punch down the 24 AWG stranded wires before plugging in?

No — the cable arrives pre-terminated with gold-plated RJ45 plugs; just insert each connector until the clip clicks, avoiding the common mistake of forcing it upside-down.
