Two-Pack 16 AWG Extension Cords

This two-pack of 16 AWG extension cords adds three polarised outlets to each 2-prong plug. The white 6 ft cables suit indoor lamps, chargers and small electronics. They are ETL listed for 120 V AC use. The flat plug fits flush behind furniture.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Each cord carries up to 13 amps and 1625 watts continuously. The 16 AWG copper conductors with SPT-2 insulation handle longer runs better than thinner 18 AWG alternatives. The tamper guards protect unused outlets from debris during extended operation.

Installation and Common Issues

Plug the flat NEMA 1-15P end into any standard 3-prong 120 V receptacle; the three NEMA 1-15R outlets accept 2-prong devices only. Grounded 3-prong plugs will not fit. The short 6 ft length limits reach in larger rooms.

Questions about this item

Does the 16 AWG cord get warm when running a 13 A load all day?

The 16 AWG cable is rated for 13 amps and 1625 watts at 120 volts, so it handles a full load within its design limits.

What outlet type must I already have to plug in the NEMA 1-15P plug?

A standard NEMA 5-15R three-prong 120 V AC wall receptacle accepts the polarised two-prong plug.

Can I use the three NEMA 1-15R outlets with older two-prong lamps and chargers?

Yes, each receptacle is a polarised NEMA 1-15R that accepts standard two-prong plugs from legacy devices.
