Intel Certified Thunderbolt 4 Cable

This Intel certified cable delivers 40Gbps data transfer and 240W power delivery over a 3.3ft length. It functions as both a Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 cable with full backward compatibility to Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C 3.2, 3.1, and 2.0 devices. The white cable supports DisplayPort Alt Mode for video output.

Sustained 40Gbps Bandwidth Performance

Certified Thunderbolt 4 performance ensures reliable 40Gbps throughput during extended data transfers rather than only brief bursts. The cable maintains full bandwidth for driving one 8K display or two 4K monitors continuously. PD 3.1 charging delivers consistent 240W power under sustained load without throttling.

240W Power Delivery Decides Suitability

The 240W charging capability determines whether this cable meets your power requirements for laptops and high-draw devices. Lower wattage cables cannot support the same charging speeds or power-hungry peripherals. Buyers needing only basic data sync or lower power charging will not utilise this cable's full certified capacity.

Questions about this item

Does the 240W charging capability generate noticeable heat during all-day use?

The cable supports PD 3.1 240W charging while maintaining Thunderbolt 4 certification, so it handles sustained power delivery without excessive heat buildup.

What host port does my computer need to get the full 40Gbps from this cable?

You need a Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 port on the host; Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C 3.2 ports will work but at their own lower speeds.

Will this cable run at 40Gbps if I keep my Thunderbolt 3 dock and monitor?

The cable is fully backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3 devices, so it will operate at Thunderbolt 3 speeds with your existing dock and monitor.
