Shielded Cat6 Inline Coupler

The CableCreation Cat6 Shielded Inline Coupler Keystone Latch 5-Pack provides five shielded female-to-female RJ45 connectors for joining two Ethernet cables. Each unit carries a Cat6 Class D rating with gold-plated 8-pin terminals and a nickel-plated shell. The ABS non-halogen housing meets UL 94V-0 flammability standards. This pack suits installers extending runs in structured cabling projects.

Keystone Latch Panel Mount

The integrated keystone latch snaps into standard keystone wall plates or patch panels for a secure panel connection. Shielded construction helps reduce electromagnetic interference in noisy environments. Operating temperature spans -10 C to +50 C, and mating cycles are rated at 750 insertions. No tools are required beyond a keystone cut-out.

Extends Existing Cable Runs

These couplers replace the need to re-terminate or pull new long cables when a run falls short. They upgrade temporary cable-to-cable junctions into a tidy, panel-mounted link. The jump is worth it when a permanent, shielded connection at a wall plate or patch panel is preferred over loose inline splices. Not suited for outdoor or plenum installations without additional rating.

Questions about this item

How many mating cycles can each shielded Cat6 coupler withstand before signal loss?

Each coupler is rated for 750 mating cycles, so repeated patching in a keystone panel will not degrade the gold-plated contacts prematurely.

What is the maximum operating temperature for these inline couplers when installed in a closed cabinet?

The specified operating range tops out at +50 °C, so airflow or spacing is needed if the enclosure runs hotter.

Does the keystone latch on these couplers fit standard keystone wall plates and patch panels?

Yes, the built-in keystone latch snaps into any standard keystone cut-out, so no proprietary panel is required.
