USB-C Audio Adapter with Dual 3.5 mm Jacks

This CableCreation adapter adds a 3.5 mm headphone output and a separate microphone input to USB-C devices that lack an analogue audio port. It accepts both TRS and TRRS plugs so existing headsets, earphones or external microphones can be used without buying new USB-C headphones.

Replaces a Missing or Faulty Onboard Audio Port

The adapter works as an external sound card for ultra-thin laptops, tablets or phones that have no 3.5 mm jack, and it bypasses a damaged internal audio circuit. The jump is worthwhile when you want to keep using wired headsets or a standalone microphone instead of switching to wireless or USB-C models.

Check Device Compatibility and Port Type

Verify that your USB-C port supports audio accessory mode or Thunderbolt 3, because the adapter will not function on Pixel phones, GoPro cameras or other devices that lack analogue audio passthrough. Apple AirPods and EarPods provide audio output only; their microphone is not supported.
