On-The-Go Micro USB Adapter

This short adapter lets a micro USB phone or tablet act as a USB host so you can connect flash drives, keyboards, mice, game controllers or DJI drone remotes. It is intended for users who need quick peripheral access on the move without carrying a full-length cable.

Check Device OTG Support

Before ordering, confirm that your specific phone or tablet lists USB On-The-Go capability in its specifications. The adapter cannot add host mode to hardware that lacks the feature, and it draws power from the mobile device so very power-hungry peripherals may not operate.

Sustained Use Behaviour

The moulded strain-relief connectors and grip treads resist wear from repeated insertion cycles during daily use. Because the adapter is bus-powered, performance over long sessions depends on the host device’s available current and the peripheral’s power draw rather than on any internal regulation.

Questions about this item

Does the adapter come with any extra cables or do I need to buy a USB flash drive separately?

Only the 6-inch Micro USB male to USB female adapter is included; flash drives, keyboards, mice or other USB peripherals must be purchased separately.

The listing mentions Micro USB 2.0 — is there a USB 3.0 version of this adapter I should choose instead?

This model is offered only as a Micro USB 2.0 OTG adapter; no USB 3.0 variant is listed.

What does the USB 2.0 rating mean when I plug a flash drive into my phone with this adapter?

The connection runs at USB 2.0 speeds, so file transfers will be slower than with a USB 3.0 host, but keyboards, mice, game controllers and most flash drives work normally.
