USB-C to DVI-D 1080p Adapter
This adapter connects USB-C devices that support DP ALT Mode or Thunderbolt to displays with a DVI-D input. It suits users with older monitors such as 23-inch Apple Cinema Displays or Dell 2405 and 2407 models. The product is new and carries no audio signal.
Single-Link DVI Limit at 1920x1200
The adapter uses a single-link DVI-D interface, so the maximum supported resolution is 1920x1200 at 60 Hz. It does not support dual-link DVI and therefore cannot drive 27-inch or 30-inch Apple Cinema Displays. Backward compatibility covers 1080p, 720p and 480p refresh rates.
Replaces Legacy DVI Cables for USB-C Hosts
This unit replaces a native DVI cable when the host only offers USB-C video output. The jump is worthwhile when a monitor lacks HDMI or DisplayPort and the computer provides DP ALT Mode or Thunderbolt. It will not work for users who need audio over the same link or dual-link bandwidth.
