Active DVI-D 24+1 male to VGA female converter supports 1080p and 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz
This active adapter connects a DVI-D 24+1 source to a VGA display using an EP94Z1E chipset. It is intended for desktops or laptops that only provide a digital DVI output but need to drive an analogue monitor or projector. A separate VGA cable is required to complete the link. The 19 cm tail keeps the connection tidy on a desk or in a rack.
The 25-pin DVI-D male plug inserts directly into the source while the 15-pin VGA female socket accepts the user-supplied VGA lead. Quad shielding and a PVC jacket protect the converted signal from interference during daily plugging and unplugging. No driver or software installation is needed; the adapter works immediately on connection.
The converter draws its operating power from the DVI port and adds no external power requirement. It carries video only, with no audio path, and runs silently because it has no moving parts. Bandwidth of up to 1.65 Gbps supports 1080p and 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz without noticeable heat buildup under normal office use.

The 24+1 DVI-D male connector supports up to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz for PC graphics and 1080p at 60Hz for HDTV.
The adapter body extends 19 cm from the DVI port and requires a 15-pin VGA cable (not included) to reach the display.
Plug the DVI-D male end into the source, attach a separate VGA cable to the female output, then connect the display; the separate VGA cable is not included and is frequently overlooked.
