Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort 8K converter
This adapter connects a Mini DisplayPort source to a full-size DisplayPort display, supporting 8K resolution at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz. It works bidirectionally, so a DisplayPort computer can also drive a Mini DisplayPort monitor when that monitor’s port accepts video input. A separate Mini DisplayPort cable is required to complete the link.
32.4 Gbps bandwidth with 8K and high-refresh
The DisplayPort 1.4 connection delivers up to 32.4 Gbps, enough for 7680 × 4320 at 60 Hz or 3840 × 2160 at 144 Hz. It handles high-resolution productivity and fast-refresh gaming comfortably, but bandwidth runs out beyond those stated limits, so higher resolutions or refresh rates are not supported.
Compact 5 cm dongle with gender-changing connectors
The short 5 cm body keeps cable strain low and fits tight spaces behind laptops or desktops. A Mini DisplayPort female socket on one end mates with a standard DisplayPort male plug on the other, letting you bridge the two port sizes without a bulky cable. The bi-directional design means the same adapter serves both source-to-display directions.

Questions about this item
Will this converter work with an older monitor that only supports 4K at 60 Hz?
Yes, the DisplayPort 1.4 converter is backwards compatible and will pass a 4K 60 Hz signal from your Mini DisplayPort source to a standard DisplayPort display.
How can I verify the adapter is delivering 8K at 60 Hz after I connect it?
Check your GPU control panel or monitor OSD; it should report 7680x4320 at 60 Hz when the source, cable and display all support that mode.
Does the package include the Mini DisplayPort cable mentioned in the notes?
No, a separate Mini DisplayPort cable is required; the box contains only the 5 cm bi-directional Mini DP female to DisplayPort male converter.
