Cantilever 1U Vented Server Shelf

The Cables Direct Online Cantilever 1U Vented Server Shelf is a 19-inch rack-mount accessory designed for server rooms and data centres. It provides a stable platform for servers, switches, UPS units, and other rack-mountable networking equipment in a compact 1U form factor.

Sustained Load Performance

The vented design promotes maximum airflow around installed devices, supporting continuous cooling during extended operation. Rated for a weight capacity of up to 11 pounds, the heavy-duty steel construction maintains structural integrity under constant load without sagging.

350mm Depth Compatibility

This shelf offers a usable depth of 14 inches (350mm), accommodating larger hardware while fitting standard 19-inch rackmount rails. Buyers with shallower rack enclosures or equipment exceeding the 11-pound limit should verify clearance and weight requirements before purchase.

Questions about this item

How much heat builds up on the 1U cantilever shelf when equipment runs all day?

The vented steel deck allows air to pass straight through the 14-inch depth, so heat does not trap under servers or switches.

What rack hardware must I already have to mount this 19-inch shelf?

Standard 19-inch square-hole or threaded rails spaced at 1.75-inch U-height; the kit supplies only the front-mount screws and cage nuts.

Will the 11-pound limit hold a legacy 13.78-inch deep UPS beside newer switches?

Yes, if the combined weight stays at or below 11 pounds the 350-millimeter deep platform supports both old and new gear together.
