Shielded Cat6 7 ft patch cable

The Cables To Go 00848 is a 7 ft red Cat6 shielded twisted-pair patch cable with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends. It is built for gigabit Ethernet links where electromagnetic noise could degrade signal quality.

Snagless moulded boots for tight spaces

The moulded snagless boots protect the release tabs during routing through crowded racks or cable trays. Installers who need a low-profile, shielded run for voice, data or video distribution will find it suitable. Buyers who require a different length, a non-shielded UTP cable or a colour other than red should select another product.

Category 6 shielded construction

The cable meets Cat 6 performance specifications and uses screened shielded twisted-pair construction to protect high-speed networks from noise and electromagnetic interference.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the red 7 ft shielded Cat6 or a different length and colour?

Choose the 7 ft red version when you need a short, shielded patch lead in that colour; other lengths and colours are separate items.

What does Cat 6 on this 7 ft shielded cable mean for my network speed?

Cat 6 rated cable handles gigabit and multi-gigabit Ethernet, so the 7 ft shielded run will support the full speed of your Cat 6 rated ports.

How does the STP shielding and RJ-45 connectors affect what I can plug this into?

The screened shielded twisted pair construction and standard RJ-45 male ends let you connect any Cat 6 compatible switch, router or NIC while reducing electromagnetic interference.
