Six-inch Cat6 patch cable

This six-inch Cat6 patch cable connects network adapters, hubs, switches, routers, modems or patch panels in tight spaces. The short length reduces cable clutter inside racks or behind desks. Grey colour coding helps identify the link at a glance.

Snagless boot protects the latch

The snagless moulded boot prevents the RJ-45 latch from catching on adjacent cables during installation or removal. Unshielded twisted-pair construction suits standard office and home Gigabit Ethernet runs. No external power or configuration is required.

Model 951 for quick ordering

Part number 951 simplifies re-ordering and inventory tracking for IT teams. The cable is terminated with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends. It supports fast Ethernet and Gigabit network speeds over copper.

Questions about this item

How do I install the snagless RJ-45 connectors without breaking the tabs?

Push each connector straight into the port until you hear a click; the snagless boot protects the latch tab during insertion and removal.

What maintenance will this Cat6 patch cable need over time?

No scheduled maintenance is required; inspect the boot and contacts occasionally and replace the cable if the latch tab breaks or the jacket shows damage.

What length limit appears first when this 6 in cable is used in a Cat6 channel?

The 6 in length is well within the Cat6 channel allowance, so the overall run length of the full link becomes the limiting factor.
