Slim Cat6 cable for tight routing

This 10 ft Cat6 patch cable uses 28AWG conductors that are 36% thinner than standard Cat5e cables. The reduced diameter makes it easier to route through crowded panels, cable trays or underfloor channels. Yellow jacket colour helps identify the link in dense installations.

28AWG gauge sets the performance envelope

The 28AWG construction meets the ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 standard for patch-cord performance while keeping the cable slim. Snagless RJ-45 connectors on both ends protect the locking tabs during repeated insertion and removal. Unshielded twisted-pair design suits typical office and home networks.

Suits installers who need space-saving runs

Ideal for patching between switches, patch panels and wall outlets where bundle size matters. Not suited for runs that require shielded cable, outdoor rating or a heavier gauge for PoE loads beyond the standard. Buyers needing longer lengths or different colours should look at other listings.

Questions about this item

What does the 10 ft length mean for a typical desk-to-switch run?

It provides roughly three metres of reach, enough to cross a standard office desk and connect to a nearby patch panel or switch without excess slack.

What does the ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 standard guarantee for this Cat6 patch cord?

It confirms the cable passes the industry patch-cord performance tests for crosstalk, return loss and insertion loss required for Cat6 links.

How much space does the 28AWG slim design save in a crowded cable tray?

The 36 % diameter reduction versus standard Cat5e lets you route more cables through the same tray or conduit while keeping the snagless RJ45 boots intact.
