50 ft Cat6 patch cable for network devices

The C2G 10320 is a Category 6 unshielded twisted-pair cable terminated with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends. It supports standard gigabit Ethernet links between switches, routers, computers and other network equipment. The blue jacket provides easy visual identification in crowded racks or floor runs. Buyers needing shielded cable or fibre links will not be served by this model.

Snagless boots protect the locking tabs

Moulded snagless boots cover the connector latches so they cannot catch on adjacent cables during installation or removal. This reduces the risk of broken tabs that cause intermittent connections. The unshielded construction keeps the cable flexible for routing through tight pathways. Installers who require grounded shielding for high-EMI environments must choose a different cable type.

TAA compliance qualifies it for federal procurement

The cable meets Trade Agreements Act requirements, allowing it to be purchased on U.S. government contracts that mandate TAA-compliant products. Commercial projects without that mandate gain no technical advantage from the certification. Organisations not subject to federal procurement rules can select any Cat6 patch cable that meets their length and colour needs.

Questions about this item

Will the RJ-45 connectors need replacing after repeated plugging and unplugging?

The snagless boot protects the locking tab from breaking off during repeated insertions, reducing the need to re-terminate the ends.

What length limit applies if I use this 50 ft cable for a gigabit link?

At 50 ft (15.24 m) the run is well within the Cat6 channel allowance, so distance will not limit gigabit performance.

Does the unshielded design generate noticeable heat when carrying data all day?

Unshielded twisted-pair cables carry only low-voltage signals and produce no measurable heat during continuous operation.
