Cables To Go 15280 7 ft Cat 6 network ethernet cable Blue

Plenum Cat 6 patch cable

This Cables To Go 15280 is a 7 ft Cat 6 plenum-rated patch cable in blue. It is built for routing through plenum spaces above dropped ceilings or under raised floors in schools, hospitals and commercial buildings. The cable meets Cat6 TIA/EIA standards and handles bandwidth-intensive applications up to 550 MHz for voice, data and video distribution.

Installers and network builders

It suits installers who need plenum-rated cable to satisfy building code requirements in commercial environments. It also fits anyone running structured cabling for voice, data or video where a 7 ft patch length is appropriate. Buyers who need a longer run, a different jacket rating or a non-plenum cable for residential use should look elsewhere.

Plenum rating for code compliance

The single specification that decides fit is the plenum-rated jacket, which allows installation in air-handling spaces where standard riser or PVC cables are not permitted. If your project does not require plenum rating, this cable still functions as a Cat 6 patch lead but carries a cost premium for a feature you will not use.
