This 7 ft shielded Cat5E patch cable uses 4-pair 24 AWG stranded conductors with RJ45 connectors on both ends. The STP construction protects data signals from EMI and RFI interference in noisy environments. Molded boot installation

The molded boot design adds strain relief and makes the connector easier to grip when inserting or removing the plug. No tools are required; simply push the RJ45 connector into the port until it clicks. The main risk is forcing the latch tab past the port opening, which can snap the tab and leave the cable unsecured. Route the cable so the boot is not bent sharply at the jack, as repeated stress can fatigue the internal conductors.
