Universal HDMI Adapter Ring

The Cables To Go 29878 is a patent-pending adapter ring designed for conference rooms, huddle spaces, lecture halls and classrooms. It keeps a set of color-coded adapters mounted directly on an in-room HDMI display cable so anyone can connect their device quickly. The ring slides to the HDMI connector when needed and retracts to reduce cable strain and tabletop clutter.

Compatibility Check

Verify that the installed HDMI cable diameter falls between 5 mm and 10 mm so the optional stopper can secure the ring in place. Confirm the display or source equipment uses a standard HDMI interface, as the adapters provided are HDMI to DisplayPort, Mini DisplayPort and USB-C. No software drivers are required for the passive adapters.

Thermals Noise Power

The unit contains no active electronics, fans or power circuitry, so it produces zero noise and generates no heat during operation. It draws no power from the display or source devices. The mechanical sliding action and color-coded bands are the only moving or interactive elements in normal use.
