This three-foot Cat6a unshielded patch cable carries RJ-45 male connectors on both ends and is built to support 10 Gigabit data transmission over four-pair copper. The red jacket aids quick visual identification in dense rack or panel environments. It is tested to ANSI/TIA 568 C.2 Cat6a channel requirements and suits network adapters, switches, routers, modems and patch panels. The snagless hood protects the latch during frequent moves in high-density switch ports.

10 Gigabit headroom up to 100 metres

The cable handles 10 GbE across the full 100-metre channel distance allowed by the Cat6a specification, giving ample margin for typical patch-panel-to-switch or device-to-wall runs. Alien crosstalk performance is improved by the plug and cable construction, helping maintain signal integrity on crowded bundles. Runs longer than the standard channel limit will exceed the tested performance envelope and are not supported by this cable.

Replaces Cat6 links that fall short of 10 GbE

Existing Cat6 installations often restrict 10 Gigabit Ethernet to shorter distances; this Cat6a cable removes that constraint for the full channel length. The upgrade is worthwhile when deploying or extending 10GBase-T connections in data centres, wiring closets or workstation drops that require the certified distance. It does not add shielding, so environments needing screened cable for EMI protection should select a shielded alternative.
