Splits one Mini DisplayPort 1.2 signal to two HDMI displays at 4K 30 Hz or a single display at 4K 60 Hz with 7.1 audio
This Cables To Go 54292 adapter converts one Mini DisplayPort 1.2 source into two HDMI outputs. It supports 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz on a single display or 30Hz across both displays simultaneously. The hub draws up to 5V 2A through a USB Micro-B port and carries 7.1 channel audio at 192KHz sampling.
Ideal for users with a Mini DisplayPort 1.2a graphics port who need two independent 4K screens for extended desktop or mirrored video. Not suitable for systems lacking DisplayPort 1.2 MST support, for setups requiring higher than 30Hz on dual 4K panels, or for buyers who cannot supply external USB power when the host port cannot deliver 5V 2A.
Under continuous use the converter maintains the rated 5.4Gbps bandwidth and stable 7.1 audio without thermal throttling, provided the external 5V 2A supply is connected. Dual 4K 30Hz streams remain consistent over long sessions, while single 4K 60Hz output stays within the HBR2 link rate without signal degradation.

The hub draws 5 V / 2 A through its Micro-B USB port; a USB charger or powered port that can supply that current is required.
Yes — the converter down-scales automatically, so each 1080p display will show its native resolution while the host still sees a 4K-capable MST link.
Open your OS display settings and verify the active resolution reads 3840 × 2160 at 60 Hz; the on-screen menu of the monitor should also report that timing.
