Compatible Motorola radio battery

This Cameron & Co DS-CS-MPR400TW pack replaces the PMNN4071 series for Motorola A6, A8, BPR40 and Mag One BPR40 two-way radios. It uses Ni-MH chemistry and is supplied in black. The unit is new and built to 100% OEM compatible dimensions of 101.08 x 58.60 x 33.24 mm.

Voltage and capacity match

The critical specification is the 7.5 V nominal voltage paired with 1.1 Ah capacity, delivering 8.25 Wh of energy. Any replacement must match both figures exactly or the radio will not charge or run correctly. This pack meets those ratings without deviation.

Steady output on long shifts

Ni-MH cells maintain a stable voltage plateau through most of the discharge cycle, so transmit power stays consistent during extended talk time. The chemistry also tolerates repeated daily charge cycles without the memory effect that plagued older nickel-cadmium packs.

Questions about this item

How long will the 1100 mAh rating actually run my radio?

The 1100 mAh capacity at 7.5 V delivers 8.25 Wh, so run-time depends on the radio's transmit and standby current draw.

What connector standard does this pack use and what does it limit?

It uses the Motorola two-pin battery interface, which carries only power and basic ID — no data or charging logic.

Will the 101.08 x 58.60 x 33.24 mm case fit my BPR40 battery compartment?

Yes, those are the exact OEM dimensions for the PMNN4071 series, so it slides into the BPR40, Mag One, A6 and A8 housings without modification.
