Direct Replacement Battery

This 9.6V 2000mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the original power source for Visonic Amber Select AmberLink and Powermax control panels. It matches the 0-9912-G, 100729 and GP180AAH8BMX part numbers so the panel recognises it immediately. The black casing fits the existing compartment without modification.

Voltage and Chemistry Match

The single specification that decides compatibility is the 9.6V Ni-MH chemistry required by the alarm controller. A different voltage or a lithium cell would prevent the panel from charging or reporting capacity correctly. This unit supplies the exact nominal voltage and chemistry the firmware expects.

19.20Wh Capacity Headroom

At 19.20Wh the pack delivers the same runtime as the factory GP180AAH8BMX cell during mains outages. It comfortably powers the panel through typical overnight interruptions but will deplete during extended multi-day blackouts. The 114.74 x 52.56 x 15.00 mm footprint leaves no extra room for a higher-capacity alternative.

Questions about this item

How long will the 9.6 V 2000 mAh pack run a Visonic PowerMax panel?

The 19.20 Wh capacity typically powers a compatible panel for several hours during a mains outage, depending on the panel's current draw and the number of connected sensors.

Does the Ni-MH chemistry require any special charging routine?

The pack is designed as a direct drop-in replacement; the panel's built-in charger manages the Ni-MH cells automatically, so no user intervention is needed.

Will the 114.74 x 52.56 x 15.00 mm case fit inside the Amber Select housing?

Yes, those dimensions match the original GP180AAH8BMX battery, so it slides into the same compartment without modification.
