4K PoE Camera for Outdoor Security

The Camius SPOT828A-RB is an 8 MP IP camera that streams 3840 x 2160 video at 30fps over a single RJ45 cable. Power over Ethernet and a DC 12V option simplify wiring for new installs or upgrades. An IP67-rated metal enclosure handles -30°C to 55°C and up to 95% RH, so the unit stays online in rain, snow or extreme heat.

Suits DIY and Pro Installers Needing Active

Builders who want bright white, red and blue LEDs plus a loud siren and two-way audio to warn off intruders will use the smart scheduling and on-demand triggers. Buyers who only need passive recording without lights or sound, or who require wireless connectivity, should look at something else. The fixed 2.8mm board lens gives a 106° view that cannot be adjusted remotely.

Mounting Kit, Weather Lid

The box supplies a mounting template, hardware and a waterproof lid so the RJ45 jack stays sealed after installation. Camius View app, PC and Mac clients, web browser access and RTSP/ONVIF support let you view live feeds, manage AI alerts for people, vehicles and perimeter events, and record to a micro SD card without extra licences.

Questions about this item

Do I need a PoE switch or injector to power this SPOT828A-RB camera?

Yes, the camera uses Power over Ethernet through its RJ45 port so a PoE switch or injector is required unless you use the separate DC 12V input.

Will this camera work with my existing ONVIF NVR or RTSP client?

The camera supports ONVIF and RTSP, allowing it to integrate with compatible NVRs and third-party software without proprietary lock-in.

How can I verify the camera is recording 4K at 30 fps after installation?

Check the live view in the Camius View app or web browser; it will show 3840 x 2160 resolution at 30 fps when the stream is active.
