Canon PFI-1700 700 ml Photo Magenta Ink Tank

This genuine Canon ink tank holds 700 ml of photo magenta pigment ink for imagePROGRAF PRO series large-format printers. It is designed for photographers, fine artists and graphic designers who need consistent colour depth and archival print quality.

Installation and common issues

The tank slots into the printer’s dedicated magenta bay with a single-handed motion until it clicks into place. Most problems occur when the protective seal is not fully removed or when the cartridge is inserted before the printer signals it is ready for a replacement.

Before you order

Verify that your printer model is one of the compatible PRO-2000, PRO-4000, PRO-4000S, PRO-6000S, PRO-2100, PRO-4100, PRO-4100S, PRO-6100 or PRO-6100S units. Confirm the machine currently requires a photo magenta tank rather than a standard magenta or other colour.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the cartridge is recognised after installing it in my PRO-4000?

The printer display will show the Photo Magenta level at 700 ml and the status will read Ready once the PFI-1700 is seated correctly.

What comes in the package and is anything else needed to start printing?

The box contains one single PFI-1700 cartridge; no additional parts are required if the printer already holds the other eleven ink tanks.

Should I choose the 700 ml Photo Magenta tank or a smaller capacity for my PRO-2100?

The PFI-1700 is the only Photo Magenta capacity offered for the PRO-2100, so select this 700 ml tank.
