Genuine 700 ml Photo Gray ink tank

The Canon PFI-1700 PGY cartridge supplies 700 ml of pigment-based Photo Gray ink for imagePROGRAF PRO-2000 and PRO-4000 large-format printers. It is a genuine Canon consumable built for professional photographic and fine-art output.

Single-colour tank replaces only the depleted colour

The individual Photo Gray tank lets you swap one colour without discarding the others, reducing waste and lowering per-print cost. This design suits workflows where neutral tones run out faster than the remaining inks.

Pigment ink requires compatible large-format

The formulation works only with the listed PRO series printers; it will not function in dye-based or smaller desktop models. Buyers needing higher total volume or additional colours must purchase separate tanks for each hue.

Questions about this item

How often will the 700 ml Photo Gray ink tank need replacing on a PRO-2000?

Replacement frequency depends on print volume and coverage; the tank holds 700 ml of pigment ink for the PRO-2000 and PRO-4000.

What runs out first during a long print run on the PRO-4000?

The 700 ml Photo Gray pigment ink supply is the limiting consumable for that colour channel.

Does the cartridge generate extra heat or noise during all-day printing on the PRO-2000?

The ink tank itself is a passive reservoir; heat and noise come from the printer mechanism, not the cartridge.
