Canon CLI-281 XXL Cyan Ink Cartridge

This genuine Canon CLI-281 XXL cyan ink cartridge contains 11.7 ml of dye-based ink. It is designed for select PIXMA TS and TR series printers. The single cartridge delivers an approximate yield of 850 pages. It forms part of the ChromaLife100 system for vibrant, long-lasting output.

Home photographers and document printers

Buyers who need high-capacity cyan ink for compatible PIXMA models will find this XXL tank suitable. It is not for users of printers outside the listed TS and TR series. It is also not for buyers who require pigment-based ink or a multi-colour pack in one purchase.

850-page yield and archival longevity

The cartridge comfortably handles hundreds of colour documents and photo prints before replacement. Prints stored in an album can retain quality for up to 100 years. Behind glass, stability reaches up to 30 years, while open display lasts up to 20 years. Heavy-volume users will exhaust the 11.7 ml supply sooner.

Questions about this item

Which Canon PIXMA printers accept the CLI-281 XXL Cyan cartridge?

This cartridge is compatible with the PIXMA TS9120, TS6220, TS8120, TR8520 and TR7520 series printers.

What happens if I keep the standard CLI-281 tanks for the other colours while using this XXL cyan tank?

The printer will operate normally; each colour slot works independently, so mixing standard and XXL tanks does not affect print quality.

How can I confirm the cartridge is printing correctly after installation?

Run a nozzle-check pattern from the printer menu — clean cyan lines with no gaps mean the 11.7 ml tank is flowing properly.
