Four-colour genuine ink pack

This Canon CLI-251 combo pack contains four new dye-based cartridges in black, cyan, magenta and yellow. It is aimed at owners of compatible PIXMA printers who want original supplies for documents and photographs. The set covers the full colour gamut in a single purchase.

ChromaLife100+ formulation and instant drying

The inks use Canon's ChromaLife100+ system and are engineered to work with genuine Canon photo papers for maximum print longevity. Each cartridge delivers a 9 mL drop size and dries instantly, so prints can be handled immediately without smudging. The pack includes one cartridge of each colour for straightforward replacement.

Replaces single-colour cartridges for PIXMA iP, iX.

This multi-pack supersedes buying individual CLI-251 tanks and suits printers such as the MG5420, MG5520, MG5620, MG6320, MG6420, MG6620, MG7120, MG7520, iP7220, iP8720, iX6820, MX722 and MX922. It is not for users whose printers require pigment black tanks such as the PG-240XL or who need higher page yields than the approximate 1100 black and 300 colour pages per cartridge.

Questions about this item

Which printers accept the CLI-251 cartridges in this 4-pack?

They fit Canon PIXMA iP7220, iP8720, iX6820, MG5420, MG5422, MG5520, MG5522, MG5620, MG5622, MG6320, MG6420, MG6620, MG7120, MG7520, MX722 and MX922 series.

What physical form do the CLI-251 cartridges take for installation?

Each cartridge is a self-contained dye-based ink tank with its own print head nozzle; the four colours — black, cyan, magenta and yellow — slide into the matching colour-coded slots in the printer carriage.

What is the correct order for inserting the four CLI-251 cartridges?

Remove the orange protective tape from each cartridge, then press each one firmly into its colour-matched slot until it clicks; the printer will not recognise a cartridge that is not fully seated.
