Super35 DGO Sensor for Cinema

The Canon EOS C70 Cinema Camera packs a Super35 Dual Gain Output sensor into a compact mirrorless body, delivering up to 16+ stops of dynamic range. It is built for solo operators and small crews who need cinema-grade image quality without the bulk of traditional cinema rigs. The RF mount opens access to Canon's latest lens lineup with advanced coatings and stabilization.

DCI 4K 60p and High-Speed UHD 120p

The camera records DCI 4K at frame rates from 23.98 to 60 fps, plus high-speed modes up to 120 fps in UHD 4K and 180 fps in cropped 2K. This covers narrative work, documentary, and slow-motion needs in a single body. It runs out of headroom when productions require resolutions beyond 4K or raw formats not supported by the internal codecs.

RF Mount Flange Depth and Internal ND

The shallow RF flange depth allows a motorized ND filter wheel to sit inside the mount, saving space and enabling quick exposure control. Adapters are required for EF lenses, adding length and potential balance shifts. The dual mini-XLR inputs and BNC timecode handle professional audio and sync, but the body lacks full-size HDMI or SDI outputs for external monitoring workflows.

Questions about this item

Will my EF lenses still work on the RF mount of the C70?

The camera uses an RF mount and supports EF lenses with an adapter, letting you keep your existing glass.

How can I verify the Dual Gain Output sensor is giving me 16+ stops of dynamic range?

Check the waveform monitor while recording Canon Log 2 or 3 to confirm highlight roll-off and low-noise shadows across the full range.

Does the box include the EF adapter or must I buy it separately?

The adapter is not included; you need to purchase the EF-EOS R mount adapter separately to use EF lenses.
