The 26.2 MP CMOS sensor and DIGIC 8 processor deliver UHD 4K and Full HD 1080 video across an ISO range of 100-40000. A 2.36m-dot OLED viewfinder and 3.15-inch LCD support composition in varied conditions.

Who benefits and who looks elsewhere

Travellers and everyday shooters wanting a single lightweight package for wide-angle to telephoto coverage will find the kit convenient. Buyers who need faster maximum apertures for low-light work or who prefer a body with dual card slots should consider other systems.

What the accessories change

The included 64 GB card provides immediate storage for stills and video without a separate purchase. The dedicated bag protects the camera and lens during transport. The cleaning kit helps maintain optical clarity on the 24-240mm lens and the sensor over time.

Questions about this item

What lens mount does the 24-240mm lens use so I know if my existing RF lenses fit?

The included 24-240mm lens uses the Canon RF mount, matching the EOS RP body, so any RF-mount lenses you already own will attach directly.

Can I keep using my EF and EF-S lenses on this mirrorless body?

Yes, with a Canon EF-EOS R mount adapter your EF and EF-S lenses work on the EOS RP, retaining autofocus and aperture control.

How do I confirm the 26.2MP sensor and DIGIC 8 processor are recording 4K correctly?

Switch to movie mode, select 4K resolution, record a test clip, then play it back on the 3.15-inch LCD or 2.36m-dot OLED viewfinder to verify UHD detail.
