Canon imageFORMULA CR-120N Check Scanner

The Canon imageFORMULA CR-120N is a dedicated check scanner built for high-volume financial processing. It captures both sides of a document in a single pass at up to 120 cpm using a Contact Image Sensor with RGB LED illumination at 600 dpi resolution. A 150-sheet hopper and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 plus Ethernet ports support continuous batch workflows in teller or back-office environments.

Suited for branches processing cheque deposits daily

This unit suits banks, credit unions and remittance centres that need reliable MICR reading and duplex imaging at 120 cpm. It is not for offices that only scan occasional personal cheques, nor for organisations requiring colour document archiving beyond basic dropout and enhancement. Buyers needing higher daily volumes or larger-format intake should evaluate other models.

Deciding specification: 120 cpm duplex throughput

The single figure that determines fit is the rated 120 cpm simplex and duplex speed. If your peak hourly deposit count fits within that throughput, the CR-120N will sustain the workload; if volumes regularly exceed it, a faster transport is required.
