Questions about this item

Should I choose the standard PG-245 or the XL version for my PIXMA printer?

The XL cartridge contains 12ml of pigment-based black ink and yields approximately 300 pages, while the standard PG-245 holds less ink for a lower page count. Choose the XL if you print regularly and want longer intervals between replacements.

What does the 300-page yield mean for everyday printing on my PIXMA MG2520?

The 300-page figure follows ISO testing standards using standard documents. Real-world yield varies with content density, page coverage, and print settings; photo printing or heavy graphics will reduce the total, while draft mode can extend it.

Does the PG-245 XL use a specific interface or chip that limits which printers accept it?

The cartridge is designed for Canon PIXMA models including iP2820, MG2420, MG2520, MG2924, MG2920, MX492, MG3020, and MG2525. It communicates with the printer through Canon's integrated electronics for ink-level monitoring and authentication.
