Genuine Canon Matte Black Ink Tank

The Canon PGI-72MBK is a genuine Canon matte black ink tank designed for compatible Canon photo printers. It uses Canon LUCIA ink formulated for professional photo output and works with the printer's FINE nozzle technology. This cartridge suits photographers and enthusiasts who want accurate monochrome tones and long-lasting prints.

Individual colour replacement system

The printer uses an individual ink system so only the depleted colour needs replacing, reducing waste and ongoing cost. Matte black is a single channel in that system, so you replace it independently of other inks. This design keeps running costs predictable for users who print large volumes of black-and-white or matte-finish images.

Matte black cartridge for LUCIA ink printers

The cartridge is specifically filled with Canon LUCIA matte black ink and carries the part number 6402B002. It is only compatible with printers that accept the PGI-72MBK tank, so verify your model supports this exact cartridge before purchase. Buyers needing a different black formulation or a combined colour cartridge will find this tank unsuitable.
