Compact UHD 4K Camcorder for ENG Work

The Canon XA60 is a compact, lightweight professional camcorder designed for electronic news gathering, documentary and journalism-style productions. It captures UHD 4K video using a 1/2.3" CMOS sensor with 8.29 effective megapixels. The bundle includes a 64GB memory card, batteries, filters, LED light and accessories for immediate deployment.

Sustained Operation with Dual Battery Support

The camcorder ships with a BP-820 1780mAh pack and an additional BP828 battery, allowing extended recording sessions without interruption. A USB power adapter enables continuous mains operation during long interviews or static setups. Built-in image stabilisation and wind noise reduction maintain consistent footage quality throughout prolonged handheld use.

Two XLR Audio Inputs for Professional Sound

The integrated handle unit provides two XLR terminals with phantom power, a decisive feature for broadcast-grade audio capture. This allows direct connection of professional microphones without external adapters. The single mini-HDMI output and USB Type-C video-only port with UVC support handle monitoring and live streaming to a computer respectively.

Questions about this item

How much heat and noise does the Canon XA60 produce during all-day UHD 4K recording?

The compact camcorder runs on a 1780mAh BP-820 battery and has no active cooling fan, so heat and fan noise stay minimal during extended shoots.

What extra items must I already own for the Canon XA60 to record UHD 4K video?

The bundle supplies a 64GB Extreme PRO card, BP828 battery, charger, mini-HDMI cable and LED light, so only a tripod or external microphone are optional additions.

Will my older 58mm filters and mini-HDMI monitor work with the Canon XA60?

Yes — the lens takes 58mm filters and the camcorder outputs via mini-HDMI, so existing 58mm filter kits and mini-HDMI monitors connect directly.
