Canon XA75 1" CMOS UHD 4K30 Camcorder

The Canon XA75 is a compact professional camcorder built around a 1" CMOS sensor and DIG!C DV 6 processor. It records UHD 4K at 30 frames per second and Full HD 1080p. An integrated 15x optical zoom lens and 5-axis optical image stabilisation support handheld ENG-style shooting.

Suited for Documentary and Live-Streaming Workflows

Dual XLR inputs and a 3.5 mm mic/line socket cover professional audio capture. Mini-HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs feed external recorders or switchers. USB Type-C with UVC support enables direct streaming to a computer. Buyers needing 4K at higher frame rates or raw video output should consider other models.

1" Sensor with Dual-Pixel Autofocus

The 1" CMOS sensor paired with Dual-Pixel CMOS autofocus delivers continuous phase-detection focusing across the frame. This combination determines low-light performance and subject tracking reliability for run-and-gun production.

Questions about this item

Does the integrated 15x optical zoom lens need periodic servicing?

The lens is a sealed unit with no user-serviceable parts; Canon recommends professional inspection only if focus or zoom operation becomes irregular.

Which output hits its bandwidth ceiling first during long 4K30 recording?

The Mini-HDMI port is limited to 4K30 8-bit 4:2:2, so it reaches its maximum data rate before the 3G-SDI output does.

How hot does the body get and how loud is the fan when streaming UVC over USB-C all day?

The camcorder uses passive cooling only; the chassis warms to a noticeable but safe temperature and there is no fan noise during continuous operation.
