Professional lustre inkjet roll for photographers

Canson Infinity Photo Lustre Premium RC is a 310gsm resin-coated paper supplied on a 44" x 82' roll with a 3" core. The alpha-cellulose, acid-free base carries a structured polyethylene layer and microporous receiver coating that produces a lustre finish. It is designed for single-sided printing with both pigmented and dye inks. The construction targets professional-grade colour vibrancy and sharp detail for photographic and fine-art reproduction.

Single-sided coating limits double-sided output

The paper is coated on one side only, so duplex printing is not possible and the reverse surface must not be fed through the printer. The microporous receiver layer is optimised for inkjet deposition and is not rated for laser, thermal-transfer or other non-inkjet processes. Users must confirm their large-format inkjet printer accepts a 44-inch roll width and a 3-inch core before purchase.

310gsm weight decides media compatibility

At 310gsm the roll is substantially heavier than standard photo papers, so the printer’s media path and take-up system must support this thickness and weight. If the device specifies a lower maximum grammage, the roll will not feed reliably and could cause jams or damage. This single specification determines whether the product is the right part for a given workflow.

Questions about this item

What roll width and length should I choose for my large-format printer?

The roll measures 44 inches wide by 82 feet long, fitting 44-inch large-format inkjet printers and providing enough paper for multiple panoramic prints.

How does the 310gsm weight affect handling and print feel?

At 310gsm the sheet feels thick and rigid, resists curling during printing, and gives finished photos a substantial, gallery-ready heft.

What inkjet standard does the microporous resin coating support?

The microporous receiver layer accepts both pigment and dye inks, so the paper works with any desktop or production inkjet using those ink types.
