Connects a 35mm SLR to any 1.25" telescope focuser for prime-focus astrophotography
The Celestron 1.25" T-Adapter connects a 35mm SLR camera to any telescope with a 1.25" focuser or visual back. It enables prime-focus astrophotography by turning the telescope into a telephoto lens. A separate T-ring matched to your camera mount is required to complete the connection.
This adapter suits owners of 35mm SLR cameras who want to shoot through a 1.25" telescope focuser. It will not work with cameras that lack a removable-lens mount or with telescopes that only accept 2" accessories. Users of mirrorless or digital SLR bodies need the correct T-ring for their specific mount.
The single specification that decides fit is the 1.25" barrel diameter, which matches standard 1.25" focusers and visual backs. If your telescope uses a different focuser size, this adapter cannot be used. No other dimensions or thread pitches are provided.

The 1.25" barrel slides into any focuser or visual back that accepts 1.25" eyepieces, letting the adapter sit at the telescope's prime focus.
The camera side has a male T-thread that accepts a brand-specific T-ring; without the correct T-ring for your 35mm SLR the camera cannot mount.
It adds roughly 25 mm of back-focus beyond the focuser drawtube, so the telescope must be able to reach focus with that extra distance.
