  • Switching design delivers more power with less weight
  • Portable AC adapter for reliable observatory sessions

Power Solution for CGE Pro and CGEM Mounts

This Celestron AC adapter supplies continuous 12 VDC power to CGE Pro and CGEM mounts from a standard wall outlet. It is intended for astronomers who operate near mains electricity and want to avoid battery changes during long imaging sessions. The unit delivers up to 5 Amp to support heavy payloads on these mounts.

Threaded Barrel Connector for Secure Fit

The DC plug uses a barrel connector that threads directly onto the mount's power jack, preventing accidental disconnection if the cable is tugged. A switching-type AC-to-DC conversion keeps the adapter lighter than traditional transformer designs while still providing the required current. No additional cables or adapters are needed for the specified mounts.

Portable Design Reduces Field Weight

The switching power supply reduces overall weight compared to older transformer units, making it easier to transport to observing sites with AC access. It eliminates the need to carry and recharge large external batteries for stationary setups. Buyers who operate exclusively in remote locations without mains power will need a different power source.
