Purpose and fit

This CELUX panel-mount extension cable provides a flush RJ45 female jack on a dashboard, wall or server-rack panel with a 1 m shielded Cat5e lead ending in a standard RJ45 male plug. Installers gain a tidy, fixed port for patching devices without loose cables across the workspace.

Who should choose it and who should not

It suits installers who need a single-gang square cut-out and a tool-free buckle mounting method in vehicles, boats, home offices or rack enclosures. Buyers requiring multiple ports, angled connectors, keystone-style modularity or longer runs should look at other solutions.

Deciding specification

The cable is a 1 m Cat5e assembly with RJ45 male-to-female ends, shielded construction and a square flush-mount flange that locks into a panel cut-out using integral buckles.

Questions about this item

What size cut-out does the square flush-mount panel need?

The panel is square and designed for a single Cat5e RJ45 port; a standard keystone or panel-mount cut-out around 39 mm will accept the flange.

How is the cable secured once the panel is seated?

Push the square flange into the cut-out until the integrated buckle snaps into place; no screws or tools are required.

What should be checked if the link drops after a few months in a vehicle?

Inspect the RJ45 male and female contacts for corrosion or bent pins and verify the 1 m cable has not been pinched or abraded.
