What this capture card does

The cenmate 7324HVC-4K-UK is an HDMI capture card that accepts 4K signals at 30 frames per second and streams 1080p video at 60 frames per second over a USB 3.0 connection. It is built for gamers, streamers and video-conference users who need to record or broadcast gameplay from consoles such as Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 or Xbox, or from cameras and PCs. The aluminium-alloy shell helps dissipate heat during long sessions. No driver installation is required for basic operation.

Limits of the USB 3.0 interface

The device captures at a maximum of 1080p 60fps even though the HDMI input and loop-out support 4K at 30Hz. This means the recorded or streamed resolution is capped at 1080p while the pass-through output can still deliver a 4K signal to a display. USB 3.0 bandwidth determines that ceiling, so higher frame rates at 4K are not possible through this capture path. Audio and video remain synchronised within these constraints.

Check your setup before ordering

Verify that your source device can output a compatible HDMI signal and that your computer has an available USB 3.0 Type-A or Type-C port for the included 3.3ft cable. The box also supplies a 5ft HDMI cable for the loop-through connection to a monitor or TV. Ensure your streaming software such as OBS, PotPlayer or VLC recognises UVC video devices, and confirm that your system meets the software’s own requirements for 1080p60 capture.
