What this capture card does

The KEHIPI USB-C 3.0 capture card converts an HDMI source into a USB video stream for a PC or Mac. It accepts input up to 3840×2160 at 30 Hz and delivers output at 1920×1080 60 Hz or 2560×1440 30 Hz. The device weighs 0.032 kilograms and measures 49×24×10 mm. It is built for teaching, broadcasting, gaming, streaming and video conferencing.

The spec that decides fit

The card is uni-directional: it only converts from an HDMI source to a USB-C or USB-A host. It requires a host with at least an Intel Core i5-3400 plus NVIDIA GT630 on desktop or an Intel Core i7-3537U 2.0 GHz plus NVIDIA GT735 on laptop. Buyers whose computers fall below those CPU and GPU baselines will not get the advertised performance.

What the bundle adds

The package includes the capture card and an installation guide. Supported software spans OBS Studio, VLC, Wirecast, vMix, PotPlayer, QuickTime Player and Broadcaster, plus Windows Media Encoder and Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder. No cables, power adapters or licences are supplied.

Questions about this item

What does 1080p at 60 Hz mean for my stream?

The card outputs 1920×1080 at 60 frames per second so gameplay or camera footage appears smooth on Twitch, YouTube or a video call without the choppy look of 30 Hz capture.

How does the USB 3.0 link limit what I can record?

The 3.0 connection caps output at 1080p60 or 2K30 even though the HDMI input can accept 4K30, so higher resolutions are downscaled before they reach the computer.

Will the 49×24×10 mm dongle fit beside other ports on my laptop?

At 49 mm long, 24 mm wide and 10 mm thick it sits flush with most USB-C or USB-A sockets and weighs 26 g, so adjacent ports usually stay free.
