Centon DataStick Pro 8 GB USB 2.0 flash drive

The Centon DataStick Pro provides 8 GB of portable storage for users who need a simple way to move documents, photos or small media files between computers. Its USB 2.0 interface works with virtually any desktop or laptop port without requiring extra drivers. The grey housing is compact enough to stay plugged in during transport. A five-year limited warranty backs the drive against defects.

Grey capless design protects the connector

The capless grey body removes the separate lid that is easily lost, keeping the USB plug shielded when the drive is not in use. This design change means one less piece to manage while travelling or working at a desk. The drive draws power directly from the host port so no external supply is needed. Users who require faster transfer rates or larger capacities will need a different storage solution.

Questions about this item

Will the 5-year warranty cover the USB 2.0 connector if it wears out?

The limited warranty runs for five years from purchase and covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

What is the first bottleneck when copying large files continuously to the 8 GB drive?

The USB 2.0 interface caps sustained write speed, so the bus becomes the limiting factor before the flash memory does.
