All-felt noiseless chalkboard eraser

This Charles Leonard 74555 eraser uses six strips of wool felt sewn to a firm backing for quiet, thorough chalk removal. The all-felt construction eliminates scratching sounds while cleaning classroom or office boards. Multicolor strips add visual variety to a standard accessory. Each unit is sold individually for single-board maintenance.

Teachers and office staff needing quiet cleaning

Suited for anyone who prefers a silent eraser that lifts chalk dust without residue. Not for users who want a magnetic backing, a handled grip, or a larger surface for wide boards. Buyers needing replaceable felt pads or a washable design should look elsewhere. The fixed felt strips cannot be swapped out when worn.

Six-strip wool felt pad construction

The eraser relies on six high-quality wool felt strips secured to a rigid backing for consistent pressure across the board. This strip count and material define the cleaning feel and noise level. No other specification determines whether the eraser matches the buyer's expectations.

Questions about this item

Does the Charles Leonard 74555 eraser come with any chalk or cleaning fluid, or is it just the felt pad?

Only the eraser itself is supplied — six strips of wool felt sewn to a firm backing. Chalk and cleaning fluid are sold separately.

The listing shows a single multicolour option; is there a choice of felt densities or handle styles for different board sizes?

No — the 74555 is offered in one 5-inch multicolour configuration with a standard all-felt pad and no alternative densities or handles.

How does the all-felt noiseless design perform on a heavily used chalkboard compared with traditional block erasers?

Six high-quality wool-felt strips wipe cleanly and quietly, removing chalk dust thoroughly without the scratching noise of harder block erasers.
