Compact POS Keyboard with Integrated Trackball

The Cherry G84-4420LUBEU-2 is a wired ultra-slim keyboard built for point-of-sale and space-constrained environments. Its 83-key layout includes an optical trackball and two mouse buttons, removing the need for a separate pointing device. Mechanical ML switches with gold crosspoint contacts are rated for over 20 million actuations per key. The black chassis measures 14.57" x 5.47" x 0.77" and weighs approximately 563 g.

Driver-Free USB Installation and Cable Routing

Connect the 1.75 m USB cable to any standard port; no additional drivers are required for basic operation. The extremely flat 20 mm profile fits shallow rack trays or kiosk enclosures, but the fixed cable length limits placement flexibility in deeper cabinets. Verify that the 83-key US reduced layout matches the application's key-mapping expectations before deployment.

USB Interface Limits and Environmental Range

The keyboard operates from 0°C to 60°C and can be stored between -20°C and 60°C, suiting industrial and transport settings. USB connectivity caps the cable run at the supplied 1.75 m unless an active extender is added. The integrated trackball handles cursor control within the device footprint, but users needing multi-touch gestures or higher tracking resolution will find the optical sensor restrictive.
