HP FK221AA POS Keyboard

The HP FK221AA is a full-size USB keyboard designed for point-of-sale environments where counter space is limited. It integrates a touchpad with two mouse buttons to eliminate the need for a separate pointing device. The unit is built for new deployments in retail or hospitality settings requiring a compact, all-in-one input solution.

IP54 Spill and Dust Resistance

The key area meets an IP54 rating, protecting the internals from liquid splashes and dust ingress common in busy checkout lanes. This sealing is the primary durability feature that determines suitability for high-traffic commercial use. Without this rating, the keyboard would not withstand routine cleaning or accidental spills.

USB 2.0 Plug-and-Play Setup

Installation requires only an available USB 2.0 port; no drivers are needed for basic operation on modern operating systems. The 28 relegendable keys are configured through software utilities rather than hardware switches. A frequent issue is forgetting to install the vendor utility before attempting to reprogram key legends.
