Cherry Stream Desktop wireless combo

The Cherry JD-8500EU-2 Stream Desktop pairs a 104-key keyboard with a six-button optical mouse on a single 2.4 GHz USB receiver. Both devices share the same compact black design and quiet key feel. The set works with Windows, macOS, Linux and Chrome OS without extra drivers.

Suits quiet workspaces and shared desks

Users who need silent typing and clicking will appreciate the low-noise scissor keys and near-silent mouse buttons. The ambidextrous mouse fits medium and large hands. Buyers who require a wired connection option or programmable macro keys should consider a different model.

Single 2.4 GHz USB receiver for both devices

One nano receiver handles keyboard and mouse simultaneously, freeing a second USB port. The mouse delivers 2400 dpi optical tracking with a scroll wheel and two side buttons. The keyboard measures 18.2 by 6.39 by .9 inches and runs on battery power.

Questions about this item

How much noise do the SX scissor keys and the six-button mouse make when I type and click all day?

Both the keyboard and the mouse use quiet mechanisms — the SX scissor keys deliver super-silent strokes and the mouse buttons are almost inaudible.

What do I need to plug in before the keyboard and mouse will work?

Insert the single 2.4 GHz USB wireless receiver into a free USB port; the combo is battery powered and requires no extra cables or software.

Will the US English 104-key layout and multimedia keys work if I keep my older Windows, macOS or Linux machine?

The set is compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux and Chrome OS, so the layout and volume controls function on those older systems without additional drivers.
